May is National Home Remodeling Month! It’s also the early start to summer and possible visitors coming to town. Make some quick updates to your bath/guest bath and sit back and take in the compliments from family and friends.

Replace the toilet seat
White toilet seats can get a bit dingy. Replacing the seat is quick and inexpensive and your toilet will look pristine. A soft close style is a nice touch, like the TOTO seat pictured. Check the brand of your toilet and simply buy a new seat – make sure you’re buying the right shape, oval or round.

Replace your fan
Quiet things down by replacing your bath fan with a newer, quieter model. The Panasonic WhisperCeiling™ Fan will do the trick. (whisper is in the name!). Panasonic fans use less energy to move larger volumes of air than other brands. Consequently, Panasonic fans run cooler so they last longer. They are also much less likely to overheat and result in motor failure. The motor is also equipped with a thermal-cutoff fuse. Panasonic ventilation fans are ENERGY STAR® certified, where guidelines exist. ENERGY STAR® vent fans meet strict parameters set by the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). They provide better efficiency and comfort with less noise, and feature high performance motors and improved blade design, providing better performance and longer life.
