Our origins
As a division of Deschênes & Fils Montréal, Espace Plomberium enjoys significant support, expertise and purchasing power. These are the reasons why it is capable of offering consumers and professionals a very wide selection of quality products among notorious brands at competitive prices.

Important milestones of our history
Deschênes & Fils was born from the acquisition of Langelier et Fils in 1940 by François Miville-Deschênes.
Deschênes & Fils opens its first two branches in Laval and St-Hyacinthe. Other branches were opened in Saint-Hubert in 1986, Pointe-Claire in 1980, Sherbrooke in 1989 and Joliette in 1999.
The company acquires 100% of the shares of L.N. & J.E. Noiseux, a Montreal-based wholesaler of plumbing and heating.
Creation of Groupe Deschênes, which becomes the parent company.
Doraco is fully acquired in 1996 and merged with L.N. & J.E. Noiseux to become Doraco-Noiseux, division of Deschênes & Fils, a wholesaler and retailer with now 2 places of business.
The Doraco-Noiseux showroom located in Montréal-Nord is replaced by a new showroom on boul. Acadie, in Montreal.
Deschênes & Fils acquires Proulx & Fils, a retailer operating a showroom under the Plomberium banner in Mascouche.
Deschênes & Fils acquires the Baliscus showroom in St-Jérôme.
Deschênes & Fils Ltd. launches the unified banner of its retail network under the name Espace Plomberium.
End of expansion work on the Acadie store. The shop now has a two-story showroom
Acquisition of Plomberie Design 440 Inc./ALO in Laval. Espace Plomberiumnow has five stores.
Deschênes & Fils adopts a new slogan to affirm the importance of its Quebec roots.
