On the evening of May 9th, Espace Plomberium had the chance to welcome Index Design to launch its ”Guide des 200 adresses d’architectes et de designers d’intérieur québécois”. Their 15th spring was celebrated in style with many people from the design world!

A look back at the launch party!

Espace Plomberium welcomed Index Design for an evening to launch their guide. The evening was a success, and many designers and architects attended.

The director of Index Design presented the result of their work: the 15th ”Guide des 200 architectes et designers d’intérieur”. Recognized as an essential for anyone looking for a designer or an architect, it includes, among other things, a selection of the 15 most notable architectural and interior design business projects, as well as ten landscaping projects.

The Port of Montreal Tower

The cover page of the guide presents the Port of Montreal Tower, which creates a vital link between the city and the river. It was built over ten years by Provencher Roy, a company of architects, urban planners, and designers. The project’s objective was to improve the pedestrian experience and restore access to the river. With a new view of Montreal and the St. Lawrence River, the tower is the guardian of the Port of Montreal’s past and present.

Sinks styles

One of the first things we should consider when purchasing our sink is the dimensions. Each collection offers options, sizes and configurations ranging from 1 to 3 tanks. The shape of the tank can be rectangular, square or round. The outlines can be curved or straight.

There are several types of installation for your kitchen sink. The countertop sink is held by its edges, which rest on the counter. The undermount sink, for its part, attaches under the counter. There are also sinks with aprons of the country house type.

Stainless steel sinks

Stainless steel is the most used material for sinks. It blends perfectly into any kitchen and withstands any temperature. It gives sinks high resistance to stains, rust and corrosion. Stainless steel is hygienic and easy to maintain, and the absence of pores makes it naturally antibacterial. In addition, stainless steel is durable and 100% recyclable.

THE CALIBER

The quality and resistance of a sink are reflected in its calibre. The gauge defines the thickness of the stainless steel sheet used to make it. Generally, the indicator of a sink is between 16 and 20. The lower the number, the thicker the metal sheet. The thicker it is, the less accessible it is to bend or cut it and the quieter the sink.

Silgranite sinks
