AKB Design is an interior and exterior design firm that has specialized in renovations and new construction projects for over 15 years. The design firm has several projects on the South Shore of Montreal, Montérégie and the Eastern Townships; it has also had the chance to work on projects from Cape Cod to Havre St-Pierre.

Espace Plomberium is proud to collaborate with AKB Design to realize their various projects. During a visit to one of our stores, one of our brands caught the company’s eye. The firm has a crush on Perrin & Rowe.

On the evening of May 9th, Espace Plomberium had the chance to welcome Index Design to launch its ”Guide des 200 adresses d’architectes et de designers d’intérieur québécois”. Their 15th spring was celebrated in style with many people from the design world!

A look back at the launch party!

Espace Plomberium welcomed Index Design for an evening to launch their guide. The evening was a success, and many designers and architects attended.

The director of Index Design presented the result of their work: the 15th ”Guide des 200 architectes et designers d’intérieur”. Recognized as an essential for anyone looking for a designer or an architect, it includes, among other things, a selection of the 15 most notable architectural and interior design business projects, as well as ten landscaping projects.

The Port of Montreal Tower

The cover page of the guide presents the Port of Montreal Tower, which creates a vital link between the city and the river. It was built over ten years by Provencher Roy, a company of architects, urban planners, and designers. The project’s objective was to improve the pedestrian experience and restore access to the river. With a new view of Montreal and the St. Lawrence River, the tower is the guardian of the Port of Montreal’s past and present.

Designer Contest 2022

A look back at the 2022 Designer Contest!

Espace Plomberium and Lixil organized a Designer Contest whose aim was to create a trendy bathroom! Here is a look back at the contest.

Espace Plomberium, in collaboration with American Standard, GROHE and DXV (part of LIXIL), is proud to have presented a contest open to all designers. Participating designers had to submit a 3D plan of a bathroom which would then be created in a suite at our Espace Plomberium store in Saint-Jérôme. Participants, therefore, had to respect the dimensions of the suite and the criterias provided to be selected by our jury.

Our jury composed of the Lixil team, Espace Plomberium and Camille Charland Perez (head of the company Salt+Pepper Co., a specialized interior design firm in significant renovations and new constructions) came together and selected the big winner of the contest for its trendy, realistic and ergonomic design: Elizabeth Dube of the interior design studio Maison Gabelli!

The winner, had the chance to spend 4 days/3 nights in New York accompanied by the person of her choice as well as members of the LIXIL and ESPACE PLOMBERIUM team. She also recreated her winning design in the Espace Plomberium boutique in Saint-Jérôme!

To unveil the suite created according to the plans of Elizabeth Dubé, an event was organized on December 6, 2023. Many designers gathered for this occasion.
