Designer Predictions on 2025 Kitchen Trends

In January, we shared with you the 2025 bathroom trends with the participation of some of our designer partners. We also asked them for their predictions regarding kitchen trends in 2025. As design professionals, they shared their predictions for design and style, faucets and kitchen sinks.

At Espace Plomberium, all your ideas take shape!

Kitchen Design and Style

In 2025, interior spaces, particularly the kitchen, will continue evolving towards more refined, natural and functional designs, according to Maison Gabelli. Emerging trends highlight a return to authentic materials, a minimalist approach and the integration of smart technologies. A style that pays particular attention to sustainability, with eco-responsible materials and a search for multifunctionality in the layout of spaces.

The kitchen of 2025 continues to evolve towards a refined and fluid aesthetic. Maison Gabelli confirms that this flexible design allows the kitchen to adapt to various activities while remaining organized and aesthetically pleasing.

PRO TIPS: Maison Gabelli

Without a doubt, there is the addition of more and more hidden spaces, such as back kitchens or breakfast nooks, allowing the main space to be kept clear while optimizing functionality.

Sinks

According to AKB Design, once again this year, white apron sinks are trendy.

For Blanc Marine Intérieurs, the real trend is not to follow trends! But, according to them, stainless steel sinks, timeless and practical, or even natural stone models, for a more classic and refined look, are put forward in kitchens this year.

Built-in or undermount sinks? A question that everyone is asking. Atelier Dansereau believes that in 2025, deep sinks, often made of composite (granite or quartz) or ceramic, which are integrated directly into the worktop to have a uniform surface, will be trendy.

NOB Design notes increased requests for service sinks in a storage room or a second one on the island. The trend is for sinks with low dividers to create space between the single and double bowls.

PRO TIPS: Blanc Marine Intérieurs

Choose wide bowl sinks, perfect for everyday use, which combine style and functionality.

Faucets

Atelier Dansereau has seen the transitional style transpose towards elaborate/detailed faucets with separate shower heads for a few years. Atelier Dansereau believes that this style will be booming in Quebec in 2025.

AKB Design leans more towards models with classic shapes and a bridge, which will age beautifully with their elegant shape.

For its part, Blanc Marine Intérieurs favours faucets with elegant and refined shapes, often inspired by vintage styles but with a contemporary touch. Living materials, such as unlacquered brass, which develop a unique patina over time, are always winners.

Finishes

According to Les Perfectionnistes, mixing metals will become a must-have in design 2025. Metals allow you to personalize spaces while creating a sophisticated atmosphere. Unlike when uniformity was the norm, this trend celebrates diversity by combining brushed brass, oxidized copper, polished chrome, or matte black. In the kitchen, dare to use harmonious contrasts between faucets, sinks, and pendant lights.

For Rosa Design, chrome is making a strong comeback, and Gun Metal finishes with refined shapes are gaining popularity.

Technology

Touchless faucets continue to develop, which improves hygiene and reduces water consumption, according to Atelier Dansereau.

NOB Design opts for self-opening faucets and soap pumps, all complemented by a water purification faucet.

Les Perfectionnistes reports that sinks with voice-activated faucets, allowing hands-free use, are trending this year. These are ideal for home chefs and busy families. Some models even include advanced filtration features or adjustable water temperature dispensing to meet every need. Beyond convenience, these technologies also boost hygiene by minimizing contact with surfaces, a particularly sought-after feature in modern homes.

PRO TIPS: Atelier Dansereau

Functionality and ease of maintenance are essential in the kitchen. Multiple and adaptive functions adapt to family changes. Opt for brass, recycled stainless steel, or antibacterial and scratch-resistant finishes, which are increasingly preferred for their durability and low environmental impact.

Bathroom trends 2025

Bathroom trends 2025

Espace Plomberium likes to stay on top of trends

For the new year, we asked some of our partner designers for their predictions regarding bathroom trends 2025. As design professionals, they shared their predictions regarding faucets, vanities, sinks, bathtubs, showers, and more.

In 2025, designers will seek a perfect balance between modernity, sustainability, innovation, functionality and natural aesthetics. This year, trends will make the bathroom a design living space dedicated to comfort and well-being.

At Espace Plomberium, all your ideas take shape!

Finishes

Chrome will be back

Most designers, including Rosa Design, told us that chrome will be more present in faucets and accessories in 2025. For classic or subtly modern designs, polished nickel, brushed nickel, or brass will also be showcased this year, adding a touch of discreet luxury to the bathroom.

The art of combining metals in the bathroom

According to Les Perfectionnistes, mixing metals is becoming necessary for personalizing spaces while creating a sophisticated atmosphere. Get out of your comfort zone, and don’t hesitate to combine finishes such as brushed brass, oxidized copper, polished chrome or matte black.

PRO TIPS : Les Perfectionnistes

To achieve this layout, choosing a dominant metal and pairing it with only one or two other finishes is essential to create a visual balance. You can also opt for this type of mix for faucets and accessories.

Freestanding bathtubs

Once again, this year, freestanding bathtubs are popular in the bathroom. Make the freestanding bathtub the central element of the room. Maison Gabelli predicts that the focus will be on freestanding models with rounded, minimalist shapes, available in glossy or matte finishes.

This year, Blanc Marine Intérieurs anticipates a trend highlighting freestanding bathtubs with a vintage style, reinterpreted with cleaner, more modern lines.

PRO TIPS: AKB Design

Not all spaces are suitable for freestanding bathtubs. To optimize tight spaces, opt for boxed-in bathtubs, which are making a strong comeback this year.

Showers

Italian Showers

According to Rosa Design, the popularity of Italian showers continues to grow, thanks to their ability to add a touch of modernity and create a sense of space in the bathroom.

This year, Blanc Marine Intérieurs will embrace this trend with refined designs incorporating glass walls and stone or Zellige tiles for an artisanal and elegant style. These showers will be enhanced with a rain shower head in a classic finish, adding a touch of luxury.

PRO TIPS: Atelier Dansereau

Choosing elements that focus on functionality and are easy to maintain is essential. Sustainability is a growing trend, so do not hesitate to opt for durable faucet items.

Faucets

According to Maison Gabelli, touchless faucets and smart systems will become essential in the bathroom in 2025.

NOB Design will opt for a shower system with minimalist, refined and separate controls or a push-button shower system for the controls.

For their part, AKB Design will offer wall-mounted faucets for a more high-end effect, but they will not neglect the classic models, which are still extremely popular for their elegance and timelessness.

PRO TIPS: Maison Gabelli

The faucets remain the central element of the room, whether minimalist or more detailed; they represent the main decorative asset, enhancing the entire space and giving it a chic touch.

Sinks

According to NOB Design, the circular and organic basins on the vanities will be popular for a consecutive year, and curves will become an essential element in the bathroom.

For their part, Rosa Design suggests sinks in natural tones and refined designs to give balance to the room.

For Maison Gabelli, already popular under-mount or countertop sinks will continue to be favoured for their refined appearance and ease of maintenance.

Vanities

Textured surfaces with a natural look

According to Maison Gabelli, one of the significant 2025 trends will be the “modern organic home” style, which combines simplicity, functionality, and natural materials. This concept uses refined surfaces and organic finishes to create an atmosphere of well-being and authenticity. In the bathroom, the 2025 trends will also focus on natural materials and increasingly sophisticated and functional installations. Pay particular attention to sustainability, using eco-responsible materials and searching for multifunctionality in the layout of spaces.

According to Les Perfectionnistes, textured surfaces are becoming a key element in the bathroom. Inspired by natural elements such as raw stone, concrete, or wood, these visual and tactile textures are part of a design approach focused on nature and well-being. Earthy tones like beige, sage green, or taupe bring an organic ambiance to life.

Blanc Marine Intérieurs also predicts the trend of surfaces with natural tones by opting for combinations such as rich and warm wood combined with marble or quartz countertops to give the room a natural and timeless look.

Along the same lines, AKB Design predicts that wooden or warm greige-coloured vanities will be particularly popular this year.

According to Atelier Dansereau, natural, sustainable, and environmentally conscious materials will be in the spotlight for vanities, and this trend will continue. Dare to add a little “funky” touch, whether in shape or colour, to make the bathroom a unique room.

PRO TIPS: ROSA Design

No matter what materials and style you choose, you should balance aesthetics and durability while maintaining a clean design.

Toilets

According to NOB Design, the wall-mounted and all-in-one bidet toilets are popular this year! Easy to clean, the wall-mounted toilet also saves space since it has no visible tank. Flexible in its installation, it also gives an impression of grandeur to the room. Its unique look is perfect for any contemporary design. The all-in-one bidet toilet embodies luxury, especially with a heated seat. In addition to being hygienic, it is an ecological choice, reducing water and toilet paper consumption.

PRO TIPS: NOB Design

When it comes to design, let your ideas run wild! Harmonize the flush’s finish with the faucets for a perfectly coherent and elegant look.

Technology

Technological innovations are redefining living spaces in 2025, and plumbing is no exception. Les Perfectionnistes will choose smart faucets equipped with sensors or controllable via a mobile application that allows you to adjust the temperature and flow of water with great precision. These systems offer a personalized experience and help reduce water consumption.

Focus on Wellness

A Spa at Home

The bathroom is increasingly designed as a space dedicated to well-being, relaxation, and battery recharging. In 2025, faucets will play a key role in this transformation. Les Perfectionnistes will focus on spa-inspired designs. Cascade faucets, which reproduce the soothing flow of natural water, are particularly popular.

Many of our partner designers agree that options such as integrated massage jets, chromotherapy systems that use light to influence mood, steam showers, aromatherapy, a waterfall in the shower or even bathtubs with a heated backrest and therapeutic jet are generating a lot of interest in the bathroom. Treat yourself to a unique, soothing, serene wellness experience in your living spaces!

PRO TIPS: Blanc Marine Intérieurs

Opt for classics that gracefully stand the test of time and finishes that will add character to the room. After all, a timeless bathroom will always be on trend.
